Welcome to BCLee's rock art page. Rock art is a pretty general term, so to be more specific my primary interest is in the Barrier Canyon Style (BCS) of rock art, a carefully composed and visually stunning style occuring mostly in Utah, much of which is likely between 2000 and 4000 (although some claim up to 8000) years old.

Long long ago this was my main rock art page, but really the only two things it linked to were my photos (along with some of Dave's) and a list of other rock art pages. That list is so far our of date that it's not really worth keeping it online any more. It predates the existence of Google and even Yahoo, and of many other much better (and more frequently updated) lists.

So here's what you're looking for:
  • My Photos on Flickr: this is where you're most likely to find anything I've taken or scanned within the last 4 years at least, maybe more. Flickr makes it really easy to post photos, and I like the feedback. It also makes it easy to connect closeups to a wide shot using notes, something I'd wanted to do on this page for a long time. The main downsides are that it's easy to lose the overall context, and the default views are quite low resolution. So I still plan to bring some of that stuff back over here at some point.

  • What is BCS? is a page that currently only exists in notes on my computer, but it's coming soon.
  • Finally, you probably aren't interested in seeing my list of Other Rock Art Web Sites because I can't remember the last time I updated it.
